Two years on and it feels as though I have only just joined ZDNet. Starting with the company as an editorial assitant, I took the additional role of Trafficker working alongside sales and my success in this area helped me move into my latest role of Audience Development Executive, a newly formed role that has been moulded to fit around my career path.
The fast paced and flexible environment means no two days are the same. My rapid progression through the company is a testament that hard work does pay off. The future is alight with numerous opportunties but who knows in which direction the path will take me next - whichever it is, I know it will be fun, hectic and challenging. What more could a girl ask for!"
-- Nicola Hibberd, Audience Development Executive
"
The reason I joined ZD straight after university was I was looking for an established and recognised name within the computing industry, I knew that the job would offer me experience and security. When I first joined I had a good general knowledge of perl, HTML and other web technologies, however in just a short time I have developed endless technical skills, through working with professional and highly knoweldgeable techies. ZDNet is a great place to work, you work hard but you get great results whilst still maintaining a relaxed environment."

"
I have been with company for five years. Two years ago, accepting a job I found on the ZDNet UK Web site, I made the move from ZDNet US to the UK. The reason why I joined ZDNet is because, the site combines an aggressive Web startup mentality with the editorial experience coming from its history in print, a match that works well.
I began with very little journalistic experience, however, given the volume of work and working with the best people I've picked up all my reporting and writing skills with the company. The feedback and practical, on-the-job experience I've received here have been tremendously useful."
