Edit your Start menu in Windows 2000 Pro
Charles Skidmore, a Tip Universe reader, says:
If you take the (msconfig.exe) in Windows 98, file and copy it to a floppy, cd, or zip, put it in the winnt folder in Windows 2000 Pro, you can then go to Start > Run and then type msconfig. You will see an error (cannot read...), just hit OK a few times, then magically you will see your start menu and you can just start unchecking. Pretty cool. You don't have to hack the registry.

Some programs don't show up here, but they show up in the Startup folder. A lot of programs don't show up in your Startup folder yet, but when you go to msconfig you'll see them.
