Subscribing to a message thread in Microsoft newsgroups
Greg Shultz, The Windows Wizard
When you reply to or post a message in a particular newsgroup, you're actually adding to or creating a "message thread." You can then follow along the thread to see what other people have to say in response to your post.

To follow a message thread automatically, click the Subscription button. When the Subscription window appears, type your e-mail address in the text box and click Subscribe. In a moment, you'll receive a message confirming your subscription. Now, whenever anyone posts a message to that thread, you'll receive an e-mail message alerting you to the new post.

Alternatively, you can also unsubscribe from a message thread at any time. To do so, access that thread, click the Subscription button, type your e-mail address, and click the Unsubscribe button. In a moment, you'll receive a message confirming the cancellation of your subscription.

The missing Link
Have you ever found a web site with lots of links that you'd like to use as a point of reference but were afraid that if you started clicking the links you'd never find the original site again?
